Fasteners are used in the mechanical field to connect two or more parts (or components) to become a whole mechanical parts of the general term. It is the mechanical foundation parts in the most widely used, the largest number of a kind, covering the automobile manufacturing, electronics and electrical appliances, engineering machinery, chemical industry, wind power and other industries. In a variety of mechanical equipment, vehicles, ships, railways, bridges, buildings, structures, tools, instruments, meters and supplies and other fields, you can see a variety of fasteners.
As an important part of the equipment manufacturing industry, the quality of fasteners directly affects the level and quality of the host finished product, and therefore occupies a fairly important position in industrial production. Fastener industry originated in Europe and the United States, although the domestic start relatively late, but with the advancement of globalisation and division of labour, the continuous upgrading and adjustment of industrial structure as well as the continuous improvement of the level of science and technology, our country has become a big country in the manufacture of fasteners.
China's fastener production enterprises, but most of the enterprises are small, showing a ‘more weak’, ‘small and scattered’ competition pattern. Many small enterprises with relatively weak technical strength, mainly producing low-end products, resulting in very fierce competition in fastener products.
At present, China's fastener industry has initially formed the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and the Bohai Bay three major fastener industry cluster, and built Jiaxing, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Dongguan, Hebei Xingtai, Yongnian and several other fastener industry base. It can be seen that China's fastener market is mainly concentrated in the more economically developed East China and South China. At present, the formation of industrial clusters has the characteristics of regional concentration, industry dominance, product relevance and professional support, etc., which can effectively reduce the cost of supporting and logistics costs, and form a competitive advantage of the cluster.
